HEREFORD EXPO

The VitaFerm® Junior National Hereford Expo (JNHE) provides an opportunity for competition of junior members and their cattle projects, along with plenty of events for the entire family.

The Event of the Summer

The Junior National Hereford Expo is a Best of the Barns event, dedicated beyond the showring, to the success of NJHA members. Including educational contests and programs, leadership and membership development, and Hereford education, this is the event of the summer.

Scholarship

Each spring close to $40,000 in scholarships will be awarded to deserving NJHA members. Scholarship recipients will be recognized at the JNHE. More information about the different scholarships can be found at the HYFA scholarship page and within the application.

Education

Programs like the Bridging the Gap College and Career and Pen to Pen, and contests ranging from speech and sales to resume and interview, encourage junior members to make connections with peers and mentors.

Leadership

During the JNHE, four new NJHA members are elected to to serve on the NJHA Board of Directors after campaigning during the week-long event. Throughout the week, the NJHA Board of Directors is critical to the success of the JNHE.
