The sale is scheduled for Sunday, May 19 at 7 p.m. (MDT) and will be broadcast on LiveAuctions.tv. In addition to the frozen genetic sale there will be a judging contest and NJHA members will have a chance to compete for a piece of $7,500 in sale credits.
“Having the support of the Perez and Barber families through the Foundation 1 Club will help the junior board tremendously with our travel throughout the year,” says Taylor Belle Matheny, communications chair for the NJHA board of directors. “We appreciate their willingness to make sure the next generation is equipped to carry on the Hereford tradition.”
Highlighting the junior and foundation fundraiser will be 10 units of semen on each of the poplar Barber and Pérez herd sires, NJW Hutton 109Z and BR CSF Copper ET. Connie Pérez is excited to offer a signed and personalized set of her recently published Rocking R Books including Home on the Rocking R Ranch and Kuper Visits the Rocking R Ranch as well as one of her beautiful custom paintings on canvas. The offering also includes fresh Hatch Green Chillies that will be roasted and ready to serve and a special Barber Ranch cookbook.
