KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Serving the Hereford breed as a member of the National Hereford Women (NHW) is an opportunity to work with the breeds inspiring youth, fellow Hereford breeders and to make lasting contributions. Each year, the NHW Board of Directors selects four active members to represent the membership on the nominating committee. This committee aids in providing quality candidates and the selection process for the NHW Board of Directors.
The 2017 nominating committee is comprised of Michelle Beran, Northwest; Kathy Buchholz, Southwest; Betsey Beck, Northeast; Suzanne Matheny, Southeast; and chairwomen is Erin Lockhart.
Members of the NHW that are interested in serving on the board of directors need to submit a current resume, two letters of recommendation and an essay response to “What does the National Hereford Women organization mean to you and how do you see yourself enhancing the national board?” Completed applications need to be submitted to nationalherefordwomen@gmail.com by August 1, 2017.

The National Hereford Women (NHW) is a women’s group associated with the beef cattle industry, specifically the Hereford breed of cattle. Dedicated to promoting Herefords to the cattle buying public, educating future leaders of the Hereford breed and to promoting Certified Hereford Beef, NHW organizes and supports a variety of initiatives supportive of this mission.
