KANSAS CITY, Mo. – KJ B002 Catapult F28 ET was named supreme champion bull at the 2019 Keystone International Livestock Exposition National Hereford Show in Harrisburg, Pa. CSF Ramsey Teva’s Mercy Me ET earned the champion Hereford female honor.
Billy Elmhirst, Indian River, Ontario, judged the 134-head Hereford show on Oct. 4. The champion bull, KJ B002 Catapult F28 ET, was exhibited by Kevin Jensen, Courtland, Kan., and Mary Shirley, Sparta, Tenn. The Jan. 22, 2018, son of CRR 719 Catapult 109 was first named champion yearling bull.
Rockin’ W Polled Herefords, Shulenburg, Texas; Grimmel Girls Show Cattle, Jarrettsville, Md.; and Kyle Lemmon, Manchester, Md., exhibited the reserve champion bull, RW KLD Ruger 109 7029 ET. He is a March 4, 2017, son of CRR 719 Catapult 109. He was champion senior bull before taking overall reserve champion honors.
Ramsey Teva’s Mercy Me ET was exhibited by Kalin and Jaecee Schrader, Continental, Ohio. This March 28, 2018, daughter of JCS Icon 4641 was first selected champion spring yearling female.
The reserve champion female, GGSC Merry Jane 22F ET, was exhibited by Kaylie Shelton, Frederick, Md. She is an April 12, 2018, daughter of C Stockman 2059 ET. She was first named reserve champion spring yearling female.
The champion cow-calf pair, UHF U27Y Grace U16E, was exhibited by Ralph Ullman & Son, Graysville, Ohio. The cow is a May 9, 2017, daughter of UHF S40 Revenue U27Y and showed with an April CHF TTF 3001 Legacy 6602 ET heifer calf at her side.
Alexis Winkler, Woodbine, Md., exhibited the reserve champion cow-calf pair, RW KLD Bella 559 7033 ET. The cow is an April 6, 2017, daughter of CRR 109 On Point 559 ET. She showed with a March Purple Reuben James 40A ET heifer calf at her side.
Harrison Roberts, Williamsburg, Mass., was named premier exhibitor and recognized for showing the best six head. Ethan Howe, Wagontown, Pa., was this year’s premier breeder.
