KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Brooke Jensen of Courtland, Kan., was chosen champion senior showman, July 18, at the Junior National Hereford Expo (JNHE) in Louisville, Ky.Reserve champion honors were awarded to Wyatt Durst, Morrowville, Kan. Sullivan Supply and Stock Show University sponsor the showmanship contest.
After narrowing the field from more than 170 entries, the top 10 seniors competed in the finals, including a fitting contest.
The other finalists were: third place – Rylee Barber, Channing, Texas; fourth place – Kagney Collins, Flanagan, Ill.; fifth place – Tyler Allan, Schulenburg, Texas; sixth place – Jessie Judge, Stillwater, Okla.; seventh place – Austin Matheny, Mays Lick, Ky.; eighth place – Shilo Schaake, Westmoreland, Kan.; ninth place – Miranda Stotz, Skiatook, Okla.; and 10th place – Ryan Callahan, Yukon, Okla.
In the intermediate division, Payton Farmer of Brownstown, Ind., was named the champion showman and Kalie Seagraves, Pocahontas, Ark., was reserve.
Claiming the junior division champion title was Madeline Braman, Refugio, Texas, and reserve champion was Claiborne Perry, Madison, Miss.
Jase Beltz, Galva, Kan., was named champion peewee showman and Collin Deatsman, Leesburg, Ind., was reserve champion peewee.
