All Aboard!

After a few busy days here in Kansas City, we are excited to announce some large additions to the resources page. As always, the resources page is your go-to place for any information you may need while aboard the Hereford Express. We encourage you to continue to check back and stay up to date with all the JNHE happenings through all of our social media outlets.

New to the Resources Page:

The 2018 showmanship breaks have officially been posted! We are excited to announce 774 NJHA members will participate in the Sullivan Supply/Stock Show University Showmanship Contest.

As of today, the State Exhibitor Lists have been updated. This list will be used for exhibitor representation. The list includes contact information, t-shirt sizes and stalling.

The State Cattle Lists is your source for cattle information and is what will be printed in the show program. You will NOT use this for stalling.

Scholarship interviews will be held Sunday, July 1 starting at 8:30 a.m. All NJHA members who have been selected for interviews have been notified and the Scholarship Interview Schedule is now available on the resources page.

Please note that all contest entries (a list of every contest and who from every state is entered) and contest schedule times (timed schedules for all speeches, sales, and grill off) have also been posted. Make sure to review the information listed in these documents. If any corrections need to be made, please email Anna Grace at intern@hereford.org.

Bringing up the caboose is the JNHE Stalling. 2018 has set yet another record on number of head and entries submitted for the JNHE. Due to the high numbers we have totaled the amount of feet available in the swine, beef and sheep barns and divided it by the total number of head needed to be stalled. The rock bottoms that are provided are 10′ wide, this year states are given 4.73 feet per head.

Please note that the blue marks on the stalling maps are gaps in the rows due to columns and water spouts.

Swine Barn- three sections with 180′ of stalling space per row
Beef Barn- two sections with 110′ of stalling space per row (except Row U on the south section which is 100′)
Sheep Barn- two sections with 80′ of stalling space per row

We can’t wait to see you in Grand Island!
