The American Hereford Association (AHA) team had a great time at the Beef Improvement Federation (BIF) Annual Convention and Research Symposium. The first day of proceedings mainly focused on the area of genomics and how producers can utilize genetic improvements in the beef cattle industry.
Matt Spangler, University of Nebraska – Lincoln faculty member, along with Dr. Alison Van Eenenaam, University of California – Davis, covered the evolutions relative to genomic technology in the beef industry, and what producers can expect to see down the road.
