Mark Core resides in Pleasantville, Iowa, where he and his family managed Core Farms, a multi-breed cow-calf operation, since the ‘80s. The family focuses on creating positive and competitive experiences through cattle exhibition. He and his wife, Deb, and daughters, Bailey and Kennedy, spent nearly 20 years exhibiting multiple breeds at national junior heifer shows. They believe national junior cattle shows are the most impactful youth agriculture events in the country. Mark judged Houston, Fort Worth, San Antonio, Austin, Denver, Louisville, Kansas City, national junior shows, numerous state fairs and the bred-and-owned heifers at the Junior National Hereford Expo. Besides cows, kids and grandkids, Mark serves as the executive vice president, forage and lifecycle and chief marketing officer at Vermeer Corporation. He enjoys recruiting and developing talent and constantly pursuing creative innovations to make work easier and more productive on ranches and farms around the world. Today, their cattle operation is a part of the Boyert-Core brand with son-in law, Jared Boyert, and daughter, Bailey. The operation holds multi-breed heifer and steer sales throughout the year.
