Jeremy Haag, Smithville, Mo., is a third-generation Angus breeder who grew up in Plymouth, Indiana, where his family has been breeding Angus cattle for over 50 years.
He continues to be involved in the family operation and owns 50 head of Angus cattle, primarily marketing junior show heifers and performance cattle to breeders in the Midwest.
Jeremy graduated with a BS degree in Animal Agribusiness from Purdue University where he was a member of the Purdue Livestock Judging Team. He was also a member of the Joliet Junior College Livestock Judging Team. While on these teams, Jeremy placed in the Top Five at the North American International Livestock Exposition, Top Ten at the American Royal and competed in every major national junior college livestock judging event. Jeremy has judged many state fairs and was selected as the 2009 National Junior Angus Show Showmanship Contest Judge in Perry, Georgia.
As a sale manager at the American Angus Hall of Fame for the past 16 years, Jeremy, along with his wife, Jenny, work with breeders from all over the country. Jeremy is in charge of a large portion of advertising and sale catalog production while organizing and conducting sales from coast to coast. He maintains a close working relationship with a wide range of Angus breeders, assisting them in seedstock selection.
