KANSAS CITY, Mo., – Kicking off the 2019 Mile High Night National Hereford Sale at the National Western Stock Show (NWSS), Denver, will be LCC 6964 Queen Bee 43F ET, this year’s Hereford Youth Foundation of America (HYFA) Foundation Female.

Queen Bee will sell as Lot 1 with all proceeds supporting HYFA and the Growing a Lasting Legacy campaign that supports leadership and education for the next generation. The heifer was donated by Lowderman Cattle Co., Macomb, Ill., and Michelini Cattle Co., Peru, IL.

“Queen Bee is exceptionally attractive, yet bold and powerful throughout and reads with a balanced set of EPD’s,” says Cody Lowderman, co-owner at Lowderman Cattle Co.

Queen Bee (registration no. 43923236) is an April 5 daughter out of R Leader 6964 and H GO LCC Kylie 2137 ET.

“A huge thank you goes to Lowderman Cattle Co., and Michelini Cattle Co., for donating this donor prospect to highlight this year’s sale,” says Amy Cowan, Director of Youth Activities and Foundation. “The growth and support from breeders for HYFA through the Lot 1 Female throughout the past ten years has been outstanding to witness.”

The past 10 years have been full of generosity to support HYFA’s mission. The last decade has boasted $770,900 in funds from the Lot 1 Foundation Female sold at the Mile High Night National Hereford Sale.

In addition to the foundation female, the Mile High Night National Hereford Sale on the Stadium Arena floor will offer multiple lots by consignors from across the nation. This will include bull prospects, pick-of-the herd and female lots.

Last year’s sale drew an estimated audience of 5,000 and grossed $1,063,500.
