Now celebrating its 20th year as an NRSP test herd, Olsen Ranch continues to provide valuable feed efficiency, performance and carcass data to help American Hereford Association (AHA) members make better-informed selection decisions. Due to partnerships with NRSP test herds, breeders can identify young sires that will satisfy multiple economically relevant traits of interest (ERTs).
“It’s hard to imagine the NRSP without the Olsen’s being involved,” says Shane Bedwell, AHA chief operating officer and director of breed improvement. “Their dedication to testing Hereford genetics is a true testament to their passion for the breed.”
