KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Jessica Middleswarth, Torrington, Wyo., was awarded the $2,500 Whitehead/Rocking Chair Ranches Scholarship Oct. 27 at the American Hereford Association (AHA) Honorees Reception during the AHA Annual Meeting and Conference in Kansas City, Mo. This scholarship was one of 23 awarded through the Hereford Youth Foundation of America (HYFA) totaling more than $147,500.

The 21-year-old daughter of Jay and Marsha Middleswarth, Jessica is a senior at Oklahoma State University majoring in agricultural communications. She previously served as the vice chairman of the National Junior Hereford Association board of directors.
