Hoffman, Bouzidens win inaugural Hereford shows in CoBank Arena.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — National Junior Hereford Association (NJHA) members took their first lap around CoBank Arena’s showring Jan. 15 during the 2026 National Western Stock Show (NWSS). Father-daughter duo, Kyndal and Mark Reitzenstein, Kersey, Colo., sorted through 108 head of junior Hereford cattle to name their champions in Denver, Colo.
“Any time you think of the Hereford breed, you think of the kids, and you think of the youth. What you guys are creating is truly awesome,” Kyndal said before naming the polled female champions “You guys are making functional, hardy, efficient cattle that go out and be good cows. I think that’s important to keep in mind.”
Rholton and Rhiata Bouziden, Waynoka, Okla., exhibited the grand champion polled female and champion junior heifer calf, JPV Miss Spicy 561N ET, a Feb. 11, 2025, daughter of T/R BPF AmericanClassic 561CET. BK CMCC Magic Touch 450M ET, exhibited by Gunnar and Fallon Gohr, Madras, Ore., was the reserve grand champion polled female and champion spring yearling female. The Gohrs’ female is a March 3, 2024, daughter of MCM H BK Stinger K12 ET.
CMCC Make A Splash 4072M was named the grand champion in the horned female show. Shown by Kennedy Hoffman, Thedford, Neb., she also won the senior heifer calf division with the Nov. 12, 2024, daughter of KJ 753D Tomahawk 605K ET. Cambria Cook, Clovis, Calif., and her champion junior heifer calf, TLBT/CW/M2 Catherine 620N ET, took home the reserve grand champion horned female title. Cook’s entry, born Jan. 25, 2025, is a daughter of CH High Roller 756 ET.
