DENVER – Members of the National Junior Hereford Association (NJHA) claimed top honors at the National Western Stock Show (NWSS) junior Hereford show Jan. 16 in Denver.

Todd Herman, Lima, Ohio, judged the 195-head show in the Stadium Arena at the NWSS.

Cory, Logan and Lucas Stumpf, Columbia, Ill., exhibited the grand champion polled female, GEN-LOR Reba E14. She is a March 25, 2017, daughter of Star SJS Dom Perignon 24Z ET and was first named champion spring yearling female. The reserve champion polled female, T/R Elsie E118 ET, was exhibited by Beau Ann Graves, Chillicothe, Mo. The March 5, 2017, daughter of CRR 719 Catapult 109 also came out of the spring yearling division.

The grand champion horned female, B&C Ms Mighty 8017F, was exhibited by Blayke Breeding, Miami, Texas. The April 1, 2018, female is a daughter of NJW 79Z 22Z Mighty 49C ET and first won the spring heifer calf division. The reserve champion horned, JCS Miss Buttercup 7296, was exhibited by Kynsleigh and Sage Krebs, Gordon, Neb., and is an April 15, 2017, daughter of JCS 88X 5847 ET. She first named champion spring yearling female.

“It doesn’t get any better than what I just witnessed and what I was able to do,” Herman remarks. “To pick those four champions between the two shows like I just did was absolutely incredible.”
