KANSAS CITY, Mo. — SILO H18 Brandston 2404 ET was named the grand champion Hereford bull Nov. 19 and supreme champion at the 2025 North American International Livestock Exposition (NAILE) in Louisville, Ky. Three different Hereford bulls have been named supreme during 2025 fall major shows — including the Keystone International Livestock Exposition, American Royal and most recently, NAILE.

Brent Murphy, Houstonia, Mo., judged the NAILE National Hereford Show in Freedom Hall, which consisted of 75 females and 19 bulls.

“You guys as Hereford breeders … you’ve found your identity,” Murphy said. “You loved it, you’ve multiplied it, you’ve built onto it — but you haven’t had to change it.”

SILO H18 Brandston 2404 ET, exhibited by Silo Creek Farm, New Windsor, Md.; and Lane and Logan Cady, New Windsor, Md., was named the grand champion in the bull show. The champion yearling bull is a Feb. 3, 2024, son of BK Red River H18 ET. Wilson Stock Farm, Kensington, Ohio; Morgan Love, Baltimore, Ohio; Piper Seiss, Thurmont, Md.; and Todd, Kim and Kasey Herman, Lima, Ohio, showed the reserve grand champion bull, MML Joe Havoc 7L. The May 25, 2023, son of Purple MML Mayhem first claimed champion senior bull honors.

In the female show, Collin and Landon Deatsman, Leesburg, Ind., claimed the grand champion banner with HAWK CP Malone 2402 ET by KLD RW Marksman D87 ET. The Sept. 24, 2024, female was also named champion senior heifer calf. KJ DCC 181H Lavendaer 835N ET, a Feb. 11, 2025, female, exhibited by Kevin Jensen, Courtland, Kan., won the reserve grand champion female title. Sired by KLD RW Marksman D87 ET, Jensen’s female first won the junior heifer calf division.

Suter Clark, Gretna, Va., was the premier exhibitor, and Ben Jensen, Courtland, Kan., claimed premier breeder honors.
