KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Madison Goss, Rio Oso, Calif., received the $2,500 Owen Family/Tennessee River Music Inc. scholarship Oct. 27 at the American Hereford Association (AHA) Honorees Reception during the AHA Annual Meeting and Conference in Kansas City, Mo. This was one of 23 scholarships awarded through the Hereford Youth Foundation of America (HYFA), totaling more than $147,500.
The 19-year-old daughter of George and Laura Goss is a sophomore studying agricultural communications and journalism at Texas A&M University. Madison was named the Outstanding Texas A&M University Agricultural Communications and Journalism Freshman this past year. She also recently completed an internship with the Rice Growers Association of California developing business advertisements and managing social media.
Randy and Kelly Owen of Tennessee River Music Inc., Ft. Payne, Ala., are longtime supporters of Hereford youth.
