LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Hudson and Grady Carter, Stratford, Okla., and Buck Cattle Co., Madill, Okla., claimed top honors in the bred-and-owned bull show at the 2025 VitaFerm® Junior National Hereford Expo (JNHE), “Live from Louisville,” July 16 in Louisville, Ky. 

Sired by SR Dominate 308F ET, the Carter brothers’ and Buck Cattle Co.’s entry, GHC BK Maverick 400M, born March 20, 2024, first won division IV.

“I think it’s big for me, my brother and Carter Cattle,” Hudson said following his win. “It’s a big success for us here, and I’m so excited that I get to share it with my brother and all the people who help us out.”

Haxton Hoffman, Thedford, Neb., and Vanderwork Herefords, Taloga, Okla., won the reserve grand champion bull banner with the reserve champion division IV bull, Hoffman Hacksaw ET, a Jan. 29, 2024, son of SR Dominate 308F ET.

The bred-and-owned bull show was sponsored by Cattlemen’s Congress, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Chan Phillips, Maysville, Ky., evaluated the 81-head bull show.
