Lauren May, Mineral Point, Wis., and her heifer, Purple HB LMAY Star 189G, were honored the top of the bred-and-owned female show.

Lauren May, Mineral Point, Wis., and her heifer, Purple HB LMAY Star 189G, were honored the
top of the bred-and-owned female show.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Lauren May, Mineral Point, Wis., with her heifer, Purple HB LMAY Star 189G,
rose to the top of the bred-and-owned female show during the 2021 VitaFerm® Junior National Hereford
Expo (JNHE) in Kansas City, Mo., July 7. Ben Jensen, Courtland, Kan., with KJ BJ DPH F5 Gemstone
181H ET, claimed the reserve grand champion title.

The bred-and-owned heifer show was sponsored by Buck Cattle Co., Madill, Okla.; Moore Cattle
Co., Madill; and Express Ranches, Yukon, Okla. Judge Scott Bayer, Ringle, Wis., sorted the 305-head
show.

May claimed grand champion honors and topped Division VI with an Aug. 12, 2019, daughter of
UPS Sensation 2296 ET.
Jensen won reserve grand champion and champion of Division II with a Sept. 7, 2020, daughter
of KJ BJ 309C Leader 182F.

The champion produce-of-dam group was exhibited by Austin Breeding, Miami, Texas, with
Kynsleigh Krebs, Gordon, Neb., exhibiting the reserve grand champion. The champion pair was out of
B&C MISS AYRA 6025D ET and the reserve pair was out of SULL TCC Harley 4069B ET.
