KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Rylee Barber, Channing, Texas, received the $5,000 Bob & Dolores Call Scholarship Oct. 27 at the American Hereford Association (AHA) Hereford Honorees Reception during the AHA Annual Meeting and Conference in Kansas City, Mo. This scholarship was one of 23 awarded through the Hereford Youth Foundation of America, totaling more than $147,500.
Barber is a sophomore at Texas A&M University where she is majoring in agricultural communications and journalism. She currently serves on the National Junior Hereford Association (NJHA) board of directors and is a past president of the Texas Junior Hereford Association.
The late Bob Call and his wife, Dolores, have been longtime supporters of Hereford youth and this scholarship is given annually in their honor.
