The main objective of this contest is to not only include the pre-JNHE exhibitors, but also give them something to look forward to when they come to the JNHE. The will be judged on their ability to present not only themselves, but, their animal as well.
Contestants may sign up once they arrive at the Junior National Hereford Expo
- Exhibitors must not meet the age requirements for the preexisting JNHE Showmanship contests; they must be between ages 5-7 (as of the date of the show).
- Exhibitors must use a heifer that is entered in the current JNHE.
- An intermediate or senior exhibitor must accompany the pre pee wee in the ring.
- No bulls.
- PARENTS-USE GOOD JUDGEMENT IN WHAT YOUR CHILD CAN HANDLE.
Herefords set records in the Yards and on the Hill at the National Western Stock Show Jan. 14-17. A total of 730 Herefords were exhibited throughout the three-day event an increase of 98 head compared to 2014. There was 314 head in the open show, 138 in the junior show, 39 pens of bulls, 21 heifer pens and 10 carloads.
