Hereford enthusiasts from across the U.S. and Canada were in Kansas City Oct. 31 to Nov. 2, 2009 to participate in the 2009 American Hereford Association (AHA) Annual Meeting activities. Monday the Annual Membership Meeting was at the Hilton President Kansas City.
The meeting included the election of three new directors, announcement of new officers, and the recognition of Hall of Farm, Century and Golden breeders. Look to the December Hereford World for highlights.

AHA Releases New Strategic Plan
The American Hereford Association (AHA) Board of Directors and eight advisors met in April for a strategic planning session to discuss and establish goals and objectives for the Association. In August the Board approved seven core strategies and corresponding objectives for the future. Download the plan or watch for it in the September Hereford World.
AHA Releases Heifer Calving Rate EPDs
As part of a research project conducted by Kansas State University, the AHA has released its first heifer calving rate (HCR) expected progeny differences (EPDs).
