KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For 2013, 2,386 Hereford cows from 679 Hereford performance herds in 43 states earned the honor of being named a Dam of Distinction by the American Hereford Association (AHA).
For 33 years Rausch Herefords, Hoven, S.D., has led Hereford breeders with the most cows qualifying as Dams of Distinction. With 381 cows recognized, South Dakota is the top state again this year.more
Hereford youth participating in the Junior National Hereford Expo (JNHE) will celebrate a fourth year of “Helping Hooves” community service by collecting school supplies for a Grand Island school. The event will be June 27 through July 3 at the Nebraska State Fairgrounds in Grand Island.more

HerefordFeederCattle.com is a free online tool for buyers or sellers to view, list or purchase Hereford-influenced cattle. Producers can list cattle for sale under three options — live auction, video/internet auction and private treaty.more

This year, the “World Class Female Sale” will take place Friday, Sept. 20, at the ranch near Manhattan, Mont. Dale and Nancy Venhuizen have generously donated proceeds from not just one, but three lots. Hereford youth gathered in Kansas City, Mo., July 14-21 for the 2013 VitaFerm Junior National Hereford Expo (JNHE). During the event, 1,213 entries were evaluated plus Hereford youth were presented scholarships totaling nearly $25,000 and participated in more than 20 contests outside the showring.more
