Manning Named CHB COO and General Manager

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Amari Manning, St. Louis, Mo., has been named Certified Hereford Beef (CHB) LLC chief operating officer and general manager. Manning joins the CHB LLC team with 10 years of experience in the meat industry.

Hereford Selected to Host LPC Intern

Hereford Publications, Inc. (HPI) has been selected to host the 2016 Livestock Publications Council (LPC) student intern. The internship will provide experience in editorial planning and story development along with being involved in the publication of three Hereford World issues by writing feature stories and proofing and editing editorial content. Opportunities to learn editorial design will also be available.

Jensens Donate Heifer to Benefit Hereford Youth

KANSAS CITY, Mo. —The Jensen Family of Courtland, Kan., and Dylan Evans, Lebo, Kan., have graciously donated KJ BJ DWE 686Z Salsa 364C ET to sell as Lot 1, the foundation female, Jan. 15, 2016, during the Mile High Night Sale at the National Western Stock Show in Denver. All proceeds will benefit the Hereford Youth Foundation of America (HYFA) and the “Growing a Lasting Legacy” campaign, supporting leadership and education for the next generation of Hereford youth.

Herefords Reign Supreme at Keystone

KANSAS CITY, Mo. —ROF Time Is Money 311A ET was named supreme champion bull for the second year at the Keystone International Livestock Exposition (KILE) in Harrisburg, Pa. The champion Hereford female, LCC TG Be My Merry Time 7B, earned the reserve supreme honor.
Scott Bayer, Ringle, Wis., judged the 142-head National Hereford Show on Oct. 2.            

Certified Hereford Beef Volume Surpasses 51 million lb.


KANSAS CITY, Mo. –Certified Hereford Beef (CHB®) LLC experienced a record year of growth during fiscal year 2015 with 51.2 million lb. of product sold — a 2% increase compared to the previous year’s total. Since 2008, CHB LLC has increased beef sales by 46%.

Celebrating its 20th year as a brand, the CHB program continues to expand its market share and meet the needs of its customers.

Nicodemus Joins AHA, Hereford World Staff as Field Rep

Auction Raises $38,500 for Hereford Research

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Hereford breeders continue to support research as evident during the fourth annual auction to benefit the Hereford Research Foundation July 23. Thirteen lots were sold on grossing $38,500.
